Here is a great series of post by Old Dave using his Jumbo Joe. He is getting a lot of use out of Cajun Bandit rotisserie with the Jumbo! Here is Dave’s complete review of the grill.

Jumbo Joe Compared to Smokey Joe Platinum
Eric Puente was awesome enough to share pictures of the Jumbo Joe and the Smokey Joe Platinum side by side. This was the first time I had seen these two awesome grills together. I hadn’t realized that the Platinum was so much larger than the Jumbo.
Eric also has the table for the Jumbo Joe. The verdict is that the table is a little flimsy but worth the money.
Eric also has the Craycort grates which apparently fit in both the Jumbo and Platinum.
Here is a great idea from Nicolò Eugelmi!
Nicolò figured out that you could spend $40 for an Brinkman charcoal smoker and use the middle section to turn the Jumbo into an amazing full size smoker!
Think about that…if you can pick up the Jumbo on sale at Target for $30 and get the ECB at a Big Box store for $40 then you can have something very similar to an 18.5 WSM for less than $100!!!
Here are a few more pictures…
Nicolò did a thermometer modification on the lid. He found he got the best temperature control by leaving the top vent open and adjusting the lower vent.
Here is a beautiful slab of ribs cooked in this sweet set-up! I know what I am doing this weekend!!
The body of the ECB is not a perfect fit on the Jumbo Joe..the ECB body has a smaller diameter body. I bet a “snake roll” of aluminum foil at the bottom would help seal and stabilize the set-up. What an awesome idea!!
Flashing Smoker with Brackets
Kevin Jeansonne converted his Jumbo into a smoker with a 14″ x 10′ roll of flashing and states that it is the best smoker he owns! Kevin used some one dollar brackets to give the grate a place to sit.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing, Kevin!
Here are some great shots from Ed Delosreyes
Ed has upgraded to the Craycort grates and loves them. The only downside is that they are heavy which is something to think about if you are going to be carrying your Jumbo for any significant distance.
Ed has also done the barrel extension modification and added some handles.
Nice capacity shot, Ed!
Ed is pretty pleased with the Weber grill table as well.
Thanks for the feedback on the Craycort grates and Weber table, Ed! Appreciate you sharing the pictures. Everything looks awesome!
